Yesterday, the weather monkeys were hooting about this being the heaviest snowfall since '99. Today, they've dialed it back a bit, citing it as the most snow we've had in 26 months. Still, 10.5 inches in 18 hours is pretty impressive, especially considering I didn't wear a coat for most of last week. At 6am, we had 4-5 inches on the ground. Picturing a hellish commute both coming and going, I took a snow day. (As it turns out, this was fortunate. Chatting with folks at the bus stop this morning, I found out that our bus was very late arriving, and got stuck about four blocks from where we catch it, never making it to its destination, as far as I know.)

6am. Outlook does not look good.

Powerlines not lovin' the snow! We lost power Sunday night around midnight. It came back on a couple of hours later, but not everyone was so lucky, with many areas still without power Monday morning.

Trees not faring much better. This one was weighed down so much, it was touching the floor of the deck.

The snow was up past the bottom of all the doors and gates, and stairs sort of turned into slopes, especially for little dogs.

It was coming down pretty hard, resulting in some squinty dogs.

Kobi isn't sure he likes this.

Better to just stay inside.
Snow day = good for you!
The doggies look like they are disgustipated. I heart them dearly, and I'm also very gleeful that I got to wear shorts and flipflops today. Wee!
I'm cold and shivering under the blanket looking at those pictures! Poor puppies. During our one snow this winter Anka dug out her own little lavatory so she'd have somewhere not so cold to use. Stay warm and yay for snow days!
Wow!! That's a lotta sun! Just make sure to keep it all down there! Up here (in Canada Eh!)or atleast Toronto the snow is for the most part gone! Although....a snow day would be fun.
